The N76E003AQ20 is an embedded flash memory type based on an 8-bit high-performance 1T 8051 microcontroller.

The instruction set is fully compatible with the standard 80C51, with enhanced performance.

The new Tang N76E003 contains up to 18K bytes of main flash memory, called APROM, where the content of the user code resides. The N76E003 flash memory supports the Application Programming (IAP) feature, which enables on chip firmware updates. IAP can also configure any block of the user code array to be used as a non-volatile data storage, written by IAP and read by IAP or MOVC instructions. There is also an additional flash called LDROM, which is typically located in the boot code used to perform system in system programming (ISP). The size of LDROM can be configured to 4K bytes. For the convenience of programming and verification, Flash allows for electronic programming and reading through parallel writers or online programming (ICP). Once the password has been confirmed, the user can lock the password to ensure security.
The New Tang N76E003 provides a wide range of peripherals, including 256 bytes of SRAM, 768 bytes of auxiliary RAM (XRAM), up to 18 universal I/Os, two 16 bit timers/counters 0/1, a 16 bit Timer2 module with three channel input capture, a watchdog timer (WDT), a self wake-up timer (WKT), and a 16 bit automatic overload Timer3 universal or baud rate generator, Two UART recognition with frame error detection and automatic address, one SPI, one I2C, five enhanced PWM output channels, all eight channels share pin interrupt I/O and one 12-bit ADC. The peripheral is equipped with 18 signal source capabilities with 4-level priority interrupts.
The New Tang N76E003 is equipped with three clock sources and supports instant switching through software. Their three clock sources include an external clock input, a 10 kHz internal oscillator, and a 16 MHz internal precision oscillator that is factory adjusted to ± 1% at room temperature. The N76E003 provides additional power monitoring, power-on reset, and 4-level power-off detection, which can stabilize the power-on/power-off sequence for high reliability system design.
The operation of the new Tang N76E003 microcontroller consumes very low power and has two economical power modes: reduced power consumption - idle and power down modes are software selectable. Idle mode turns off the CPU clock, but allows for continued peripheral device operation. Power off mode will stop the entire system clock from consuming low power. The system clock of N76E003 can also be reduced by software clock to achieve flexibility between execution performance and power consumption.
With a high-performance CPU core and a wealth of carefully designed peripherals, the New Tang N76E003 can meet universal requirements for the completion of household appliances or motor control systems.
